Stop changing programs so soon, you'll do that movement 8 times....
Do you think you can perfect a movement by doing it 8 times? Unlikely
Do you think you'll hit a strength wall after 8 sessions? Unlikely
What may happen over 8 sessions though is you will be perfecting your muscle, mind, and CNS's ability to create a fluid movement pattern, the better the form generally more weight can be moved with injuries mitigated and the exercise becomes standardized for progressive overload techniques to maximize strength and muscle gains If training correctly and at the right intensity you should be continuing to build strength in that movement pattern
Muscle growth does take time and repetition and would likely not have gotten the full benefits of hypertrophy in that muscle group by doing an exercise 8 times, a balance of form and the right intensity is key here
I will generally run an exercise for an 10-14 weeks before running into plateaus depending on various factors From my POV clients can easily do 12-16 weeks depending on how advanced they are in their training life before needing to change, if we stopped after only 8 sessions they would notice considerably less results in strength and muscle growth however as a program extends we try to balance boredom and growth  but the results are usually enough to keep most people engaged for a long time
